You knew Seduction Cinema couldn't let a good opportunity go to waste. Peter Jackson's LORD OF THE RINGS series is too easy a target to pass up and not prod with their trademark style of geek-softcore. Heck, they thought the opportunity was so choice that even made two parodies for the price of one, Terry West's LORD OF THE G-STRINGS and the tamer LORD OF THE STRINGS where more emphasis is placed on the humor rather than the sex.

West says he prefers STRINGS to G-STRINGS, and while there's still enough sex is to please the more lecherous fans, the softer version allows Terry the chance to focus on the humor and story. It's an interesting experiment for Seduction Cinema who, as far as I know, have never released two versions of the same movie previously. Hopefully, Seduction Cinema will offer a 2 disc set featuring both versions at some point down the road.

Now I started viewing G-STRINGS a few weeks back and was surprised to see explicit heterosexual coupling as oppossed to Seduction's usual lesbian antics. Right off the bat, the gorgeous Misty Mundae was straddling some male throbbit in dire need of a shave and a haircut. No such scene exists in STRINGS, which I'm sure will please a number of Misty's fans who enjoy her usual girl-girl pairings.

I'm not sure how the movie differs after this point, I never made past...any of the times I started....I like the hetero stuff...sue me.

Like every comedy, the jokes are hit and miss, but Terry laddles them out so fast and furiously that it's hard not find something to laugh at. In fact, LORD OF THE STRINGS is easily the funniest Seduction Cinema title I've seen, eclipsing even the mighty MISTRESS FRANKENSTEIN. A mixture of lowest common denominator toilet humor and bawdy double entendre, STRINGS is at once both low-brow and high-brow. Think Monty Python for the masturbatorially challenged.

West, knowing that it's the personalities of the Seduction Starlets that make the movies enjoyable or not, writes his script and directs his scenes to allow the best attributes of each actress to shine through. Everyone is given a moment to shine, even girls whose previous performances were wooden at best. AJ Kahn is quick as a whip, Darian Caine is as loveably goofy as ever, Barbara Joyce exudes her domineering sexiness, Ruby Larocca is still the coolest girl of the bunch, and Misty Mundae gets a chance to silence her critics and prove that once and for all that DUCK! was not a fluke, she is indeed a fine comedic actress with near perfect comedic timing.

No matter how much I enjoyed LORD OF THE STRINGS, it's still a Seduction Cinema title. Visitors to this site know by now whether they enjoy the company's output or not. Some criticize Seduction's lack of ambition and small scope. Others attack the girls directly, often for not being as silicon enhanced as their Californian contemporaries. To me, those are blessings. All the pretentiousness is cast aside and all that's left is a good time. Fans won't be disappointed, but critics will still condemn. If anything, those who have been ambivalent about sampling Seduction's product are the ones who should seek this out. For my money, it's their best movie.

The dvd comes with a small trailer vault, music video, and two documentaries hidden as Easter Eggs, one of which focuses on John Link, the little mustached guy who turns up in almost every release.
