Heterosexuality be damned! In the world of Seduction Cinema, all stories lead to climactic orgies where only Girl-Girl Power can save the day. At least that was the case until THE EROTIC MIRROR from director Pete Jacelone (but don't worry, the story still leads to a climactic orgy filled with enough Girl-Girl Power to make even the most jaded soft-core afficionado gleefully turgid).

In the world of Seduction Cinema, heterosexuality has been scorned and cast aside. Whether it be GLADIATOR EROTICVS, MISTRESS FRANKENSTEIN, or any of the numerous Seduction titles, the male sex is reduced to comic relief who aren't worthy of pulchritude filling the frame (depending on the women you talk you to, this might not be far off base). This is best exemplified by the many roles played by John Paul Feedle and Zack Snigg.

In THE EROTIC MIRROR, Laurie Wallace is Amy, a frustrated housewife who all but gives up sex with her loving husband after purchasing a cursed mirror containing the trapped soul of a whorehouse madam. The mirror gives off a erotic supernatural vibe, akin to a spiritual spanish fly, that causes women in its presence to only enjoy the pleasures of self-gratification and same-sex relationships.

The mirror feeds off the sexual energy and allows the Lady in the Mirror to pull free of its confines temporarily. Amy comes to believe that if enough energy is released then the perhaps the Lady in the Mirror would be for good.

Yep, orgy time. Big mondo orgy. Picture a Central Park-sized daisy chain and you'll get the picture.

All the Seduction favorite gals are in on the deviant fun: personal favorite Laurie Wallace, Esmerelda DeLarocca (a.k.a. Ruby Larocca), Misty Mundae, Darian Caine, Jade DuBoir, and newcomer A.J. Kahn. If only Victoria Vega made an appearance, this could have been the epitome of all Seduction titles, pleasing fans off all the staple actresses.

When the fun ends, Girl-Girl Power doesn't save the day. THE EROTIC MIRROR takes an unusual twist and presents homosexuality in the name of heterosexuality. While not outright Biblical in its context, THE EROTIC MIRROR shows the disastrous consequences of same-sex carnal relationships. When true motivations and punishments are revealed, it is heterosexuality that is the deepest desire of the one who was the catalyst for the film's sexual exploits. To reveal who ends up with whom would be a cheat to the audience, but the lesbian provocateur rides off into the sunset with a man while her cohorts suffer in ironic plot devices. Not exactly what we've come to know and love in our Seduction Cinema titles.

This begs two questions:

1) Will we at some point in the future see a non-lesbian title in the Seduction line?

2) Do you really care about hetero/homosexuality as long as the gorgeous women get naked and role and around?

Chances are if you're reading this you'll be more inclined to answer question two. Soft-core does what it is meant to do, entertain and arouse the audience without exploiting the girls with loathsome "money shots" of penetration and ejaculation. Few companies today go out of their way to please their fans than Seduction Cinema, who next to Charles Band's Surrender Cinema, is probably the best soft-core company on the market.
